Verify Lincoln County Supervision

Lincoln County parole and probation records can show whether release from custody was followed by state or court supervision. A person may be outside the Lincoln County Regional Jail yet remain subject to parole, probation, mandatory reentry, or conditional discharge. To verify Lincoln County post-release supervision, match the person in Kentucky corrections records, read the displayed authority and supervision county, then use the office responsible for that status. Parole and probation are not the same. Each begins through a different legal process, and neither should be inferred merely because a person no longer appears in a jail roster.

Lincoln County Parole and Probation

Both statuses permit a person to live outside a jail or prison while legal obligations continue, but the source of authority differs. Parole follows a prison sentence and action under Kentucky's parole framework. Probation is imposed by a court as part of a criminal judgment. Shock probation suspends a prison term after a qualifying period. Mandatory reentry supervision arises by statute for eligible people who were not granted discretionary parole, while conditional discharge can follow certain sentences.

The exact label matters. It identifies the record to request, the body that made the decision, and the office that can confirm public information. A Lincoln County court file may contain a probation order. A Kentucky DOC record may instead show parole or mandatory reentry supervision. Absence from the regional jail roster establishes none of these facts.

Mandatory reentry is especially easy to misread. KRS 439.3406 creates supervision before projected sentence completion for qualifying people who were not granted discretionary parole, subject to the statute's terms and exceptions. Kentucky administers that release as parole supervision, but its legal trigger differs from a Parole Board grant. A DOC Daily Releases entry labeled “Mandatory Reentry Supervision - In State” confirms release to supervision, not a discretionary Board decision.

Note: A projected date or favorable parole action is not proof that a person physically left custody or began community supervision.

Check Lincoln County Supervision

Start with the Kentucky Offender Online Lookup, commonly called KOOL. Search by name or DOC/PID number, then compare stable identifiers before opening a record. Read the status, location, supervision county, and date labels together. One isolated field can be misleading, and DOC advises starting with limited search criteria because one incorrect detail can hide a valid match.

A released county-jail detainee with no DOC commitment may not have a useful KOOL entry. In that situation, the Lincoln court judgment and probation order are more direct. A state offender released from prison or from a county jail under DOC authority is more likely to have a KOOL supervision record. Federal or immigration custody requires its own agency locator, not District 20.

  1. Search KOOL by the person's name or DOC/PID number and confirm the identity.
  2. Read Supervision Status, County of Supervision, location, and each date label in context.
  3. Check the Lincoln County court file when probation or shock probation came from the court.
  4. If Lincoln or District 20 appears, call the Somerset office with the stable identifier and ask for the correct public verification route.
  5. Obtain the parole certificate, probation order, release authority, or final discharge record when formal proof is needed.
Released is not discharged. Physical release ends a custody stay. Discharge ends the supervision term. Those events can be months or years apart.

Lincoln County District 20 Office

Lincoln County is assigned to Kentucky DOC Probation and Parole District 20. The main office is in Somerset rather than Stanford and serves eight counties: Clinton, Lincoln, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell, Wayne, and Whitley. DOC's district resource assigns Lincoln County ZIP codes to Somerset, while satellite offices operate in Monticello and Williamsburg.

The office can route a public question when KOOL shows Lincoln County supervision or when the display is unclear. Staff are not promised to disclose every case detail by telephone. Give a stable identifier, explain that the request concerns public supervision status, and ask which record or office can confirm it.

Central-office fallback numbers are 502-782-2277 for general Probation and Parole, 502-782-2317 for interstate parole, and 502-782-2262 for interstate probation. Interstate cases may be supervised locally while another state retains legal authority.

Lincoln County Parole Hearing Records

The Kentucky Parole Board hears eligible people in adult state institutions, qualifying sentenced felons in county jails, and youthful-offender settings. It conducts hearings weekly and publishes schedules monthly. The official hearing schedule is updated each Monday morning, and hearings begin at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Eligibility lists may show the offender name, DOC number, location, and eligibility month.

A schedule entry proves only that a proceeding is listed. It does not prove parole was granted or that release occurred. A hearing can take place up to two months before the actual eligibility date. Public observation may be available in person or by videoconference, but file reviews are not open for observation. Remote-observation requests go to ParoleBoard@ky.gov.

The current schedule page demonstrates how the Board organizes this public calendar:

The schedule is a starting point. A KOOL detail record may later show hearing date, action, months deferred, next eligibility, or a proposed release date.

Lincoln County Parole Outcomes

No complete standalone public decisions database was verified. KOOL's Parole Information table is the most useful public person-specific route, while the Board publishes selected written material in exceptional matters. The words used for an outcome have distinct effects and should not be reduced to “released.”

Recommended or granted
A favorable but conditional action. Placement approval, a signed certificate, and departure from the institution may still be required.
Deferred
Release was not approved at that time, with later consideration possible.
Serve-out
The person remains confined until sentence completion.
Rescinded
A favorable recommendation was withdrawn before physical release.
Revoked
Supervision ended after violation proceedings and may result in renewed custody.
Absconder
The agency alleges the supervised person stopped reporting or cannot be located under the supervision terms.

Parole to a detainer is a transfer to another authority, not community release. Board policy states parole does not take effect until placement is approved, the certificate is signed, and the person leaves the institution. When the receiving authority is federal or immigration custody, the destination system must confirm what happened next.

Lincoln County Violations and Absconders

No Lincoln County government absconder list was found. KOOL offers escape and abscond-related search criteria, but the result must be read with the supervision record and current court information. An absconder label is not a new release event and does not, by itself, prove a new offense. It signals an alleged failure to report or an inability to locate the person under the terms of supervision.

Conditions vary by order and case. At a high level, a person may have reporting, location, treatment, travel, payment, or conduct requirements. Only the signed order and supervising agency establish the actual terms. An alleged violation may lead to a warrant, a hearing, revocation, or a return to custody. Confirm through DOC Probation and Parole and the relevant court rather than treating a portal label as a final legal conclusion.

Note: A transfer, detainer, revocation, or new booking may explain why a person once shown as supervised later appears in custody.

Lincoln County Reentry Support

The regional jail's legacy resources page names Fort Logan Comprehensive Care Center in Stanford and several recovery resources in the Danville area. These contacts concern recovery and support, not custody status or proof of parole. Since the jail domain is legacy and its root is compromised, current program availability should be verified by telephone before anyone travels or shares personal information.

Fort Logan was listed at 322 Frontier Boulevard, Stanford, with phone 606-365-2197. The practical distinction is important. District 20 verifies or routes supervision questions; a support provider may help with care or recovery needs. Neither source substitutes for the other. A person reconnecting after release should use the signed supervision terms to determine whether a program needs approval from an officer.

Lincoln County Supervision Discharge

An “Inactive” label does not necessarily mean final discharge. Kentucky DOC policy defines inactive supervision as a level that may require no personal or collateral contact for a period before expiration, final discharge, court termination, death, or return to active supervision. Case closure can occur through early release from supervision, early probation termination, expiration, revocation, or death.

The clean verification chain is the supervising record plus the legal document that ends the status. For parole or mandatory reentry, ask DOC for the applicable discharge record. For probation, inspect the court docket and termination order. The Lincoln County released inmate search and records overview explains how jail, court, and DOC records establish different parts of a release. A past custody release date cannot stand in for a later supervision discharge date.
